A Space to Be Seen, Heard, and Restored in Community

4th Thursday of the month at 6:00 to 7:15 ET

Root and Restore

Self-Care Circle

Where are my white sisters dedicated to doing the work of our time by ending racism? Where can we find the restoration that is available to us in community?

The Root and Restore sessions provide a restorative circle grounded in collective care.  Doing racial equity work can affect us deeply and requires stamina.  During these monthly sessions, we will remember to come as we are, work through our struggle, our pain and our misunderstandings, remember the roots of what is true for us and we will engage in various self-care practices, so that we leave our time together feeling restored.

In the Self-Care Circle, you’ll reflect, release, remember and restore.

Here's a little more information about the monthly circles!
What is required for impactful and transformational advocacy work that is beyond cancel culture and divisiveness.

  • Reflecting

What just got activated in me? Why did that trigger me? What story am I telling myself right now? The goal is to be triggered less and recover faster.

  • Releasing

Release the need to defend and make space to listen, learn, and stay present to impact. Release the need to get it right choosing to stay engaged, accountable, and open to repair. Release fear of discomfort and trusting that growth, truth, and love are on the other side.

  • Remembering
There is no need to become louder, harden, or numb to survive conflict. Protect your peace without disconnecting from what matters. Awareness is a pathway back to your power and clarity. We belong to one another, and love—rooted in equity—will always outlast fear.

  • Restoring

Pausing, breathing, observing (witnessing) and recognize patterns quicker so you can choose your response with greater grace and care. Nothing outside of you can hijack whatever is going on inside of you, that’s freedom, that’s peace.
